Front Desk

Easy, quick intuitive and error free check in. This is what hotel customers expect to get from state-of-the-art Front Desk Equipment. This system provides that in a simple FDE. This consists of two basic elements; Software and an Encoder, and these have network capabilities and vast possibilities, and are also PMS compatible. Some benefits are:

• Network possibilities allow you to connect several PC's together to create multiple check-in stations
• The software is extremely intuitive and user friendly for check in staff and includes easy to manage back office sensors
• Software allows for password protected user levels
• Tracking of all operations made by any user

Room access

When inserting a SALTO Smart Card, the guest is provided with very quick and intuitive access. No doubts, no waiting, just quick access. By simply opening the door with an authorised guest card, previous guest cards become invalid whether they have expired or not. Once in the room the guest has the option of putting the lock into the "do not disturb" mode. This blocks all staff cards and guest cards from operating the lock. Of course management master will always override this privacy mode to gain entry in case of emergency.

In-Room options

SALTO systems allow you to integrate elements like Energy Savers and In-room safes into a system. The ES switches range from Standard Energy Savers to Intelligent Energy Saving Management Devices that are able to read specific data from the SALTO Smart Card and execute electronic instructions accordingly (i.e. air conditioning, heating, lights etc). Advanced solutions help to reduce energy consumption of your hotel. In room safes are available with standard digital push button control or system related Smart Card control, and there are also several sizes

Perfect Upgrade Solution

By utilising the various product options, you can simply bolt on a set of these electronic escutcheons to most existing locks and doors and upgrade the door from a mechanical key locking system to the state of the art electronic system.

Entrance doors and other access areas

Locking guest rooms is only half the solution in achieving successful hotel access organisation. This is why SALTO offers several other access control devices.

Self contained security escutcheons, for those doors in a hotel that require an even higher security level of security through electronic or a deadbolt. The SALTO electronic escutcheons can easily be added to existing locks and doors to turn them into fully featured Access Control doors. Wall readers with off-line or on-line control units, for the control of entranced doors, elevators (including automatic level selection), parking garages etc.

Hotel Access Management

One main objective is to reduce access related management time to the minimum. To achieve this we invented the SALTO Virtual Network (SVN), We have developed real Read and Write technology, to allow the locks to not just read from but also be able to write onto Smart Cards. Just a few features are:

• Smart Cards will build up 'on card' audit trails, to track personnel or guest movements
• Lock specific data like battery status is registered on staff or guest Smart Cards
• Lost or stolen master cards are deleted from the system by just visiting the locks with up-dated cards
• No specific Smart Cards or staff members are required to carry out these tasks. A member of cleaning staff carries out all of the above features by just inserting their Smart Card in the lock to clean a room
• All data is sent back to the PC software and cards are up-dated by introducing them into on-line wall reader updates, which can be strategically located throughout the hotel
