Building Monitoring System

Overview

With the need for protecting people and property in today's busy work environments a system is required that has the following features:

  • Accuracy
  • Adaptability
  • Reliability
  • Simplicity

The Solution

This is where our SpiderAlert system is at its best. It has the performance to handle all the above with ease. The key features of the system are as follows:

  • Wide range of accessories allowing greater protection of people and property.
  • PC Controlled - Allowing total flexibility and control.
  • Dual Technology - Devices use both IR (Infra Red) and RF (Radio Frequency) to communicate with the System.
  • Fully Supervised Detectors and devices - monitoring for Faults and Tampering.
  • Long Range RF Receivers, Ideal to cover Car Parks.

The SpiderAlert system is so adaptable it protects anything from a single room to an entire hospital complex.

System Components

Controller - This unit is the brains of the operation, it monitors the advanced Signaling Network, that inter connects the detectors and relays the information to the control PC.

IR / RF Detector - This detector is used to monitor a single room or corridor for signals from devices. It is installed in the centre of the ceiling and has full tamper monitoring capability.

RF Receiver - When working outdoors IR does not offer a reliable transmission method. This is due to interference from the sun, which is simply an IR generator. So this unit uses RF to receive Alarms, perfect for protecting Gardens and Car Parks.

Hard Wired Input / Output (I/O) Interface - Mobile units are not always practical so this unit interfaces any hard wired solution on the system. For example under desk PA buttons, existing Security Systems, Fire Alarms and so on. It can also be used to control devices such as Lights and Sounders.

Dual Technology Pendant - This pendant uses both IR and RF to communicate with the system, so even if the system cannot see you it will hear the alarm. Numerous other styles of pendant are available, please ask for more information.

Man Down - For use when working in threatening environments where the ability to signal for assistance could be limited. The unit has programmable buttons, lanyard operation and monitoring of tilt. Taking care of any eventuality.

Pagers - The system can be configured to report any information in a easy to read paged message, rapidly decreasing response times to an incident. This also means a person does not have to monitor a display panel.
